PHILADELPHIA (Jan. 17, 2014) — Sandi Hendricks of Springfield, Mo., was honored as the 2013 US Youth Soccer Administrator of the Year award recipient Friday night at the US Youth Soccer Awards Gala, held in conjunction with the 2014 US Youth Soccer Workshop in Philadelphia.

Hilary Kennedy, host of The US Youth Soccer Show, set the stage for the night as the master of ceremonies for the more than 1,000 in attendance. Boys and Girls Recreation and Competitive Coaches of the Year, Young Referee of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Goal and Save of the Year, TOPSoccer Buddy of the Year, the Dr. Thomas Fleck Award, and the US Youth Soccer Hall of Fame inductees were honored, as well.

Along with her husband, Bruce, Sandi Hendricks was among the founders of Lake Country Soccer in 1983. In the 30 years since, she’s been an integral part of the club and influenced the lives of more than 100,000 players. She works as the club’s registrar and also helps with scheduling and keeping game and team data up-to-date. Sandi plans to retire in June after three decades of making sure every child has a place to play soccer.

The recipient of the Administrator of the Year award is selected by the US Youth Soccer Board of Directors. The Administrator of the Year Award honors the extraordinary accomplishments in administration over a career.
