US Youth Soccer Grants Program

Responsible Sports - Community Grant

US Youth Soccer and Liberty Mutual Insurance recognize the importance of community investment in youth sports. That’s why the Responsible Sports Community Grant program was created.

Every Spring and Fall Youth Sports Organizations can win one of the fifteen $2,500 grants available and use the money for uniforms, equipment, mat upgrades or whatever they decide!

This is a great way to get funds for your team that does not require selling anything!

Want to earn a Grant?
  • Register your team or organization
  • Take a quiz - coach OR parent
  • Credit your team
  • Rally everyone to also take the quiz
  • More quizzes = more points
The top 5 teams in each the small, large and school categories with the most quizzes credited to them will take home a $2,500 grant!

Please visit ResponsibleSports.com/Grant to get started!

**The US Youth Soccer grants programs below have been suspended for 2010/2011 until further notice. Please check back for updated status or sign up for the Kwik Kicks e-newsletter for updates.

Since 1998, US Youth Soccer has made over $2 million available for the growth of the game of soccer through grants and other financial support to member organizations of all 55 US Youth Soccer State Associations. Starting in 2010, US Youth Soccer will allocate more resources by adding the US Youth Soccer Recreation Grant Program.

In recent years, the grants have come in the form of soccer equipment from US Youth Soccer's official equipment supplier, adidas. US Youth Soccer grants are made available to three separate, but equally deserving programs:  1) Recreation, 2) Soccer Across America and 3) TOPSoccer. Outlined below is the mission and criteria of each program grant.

Recreation Grants Program

US Youth Soccer established a grants program to help recreation programs of US Youth Soccer State Associations and other organization members, in existence at least three years that are in need of assistance to maintain and grow their recreation programs.  Applications from non-member organizations or members for less than three years will not be accepted.

  • Grants will be awarded annually on the basis of expressed and illustrated need, with emphasis on assisting recreation programs that serve players under the age of 12.
  • TOPSoccer and Soccer Across America programs are eligible for the Recreation Grant provided that they meet all other criterion. This includes being a good standing member for at least three years.  New programs are not eligible for the Recreation Grants, but are strongly encouraged to apply for the Soccer Across America Grant.
  • Intend to operate a soccer-specific program in the United States that coincides with US Youth Soccer's mission to foster the physical, mental and emotional growth and development of America's youth through the sport of soccer at all levels.
