This year we discovered amazing stories about kids and organizations around the country creating opportunities and others breaking down cultural barriers through the game of soccer. We will tell you about a group of boys who came so close to creating yet another national championship record, share our experience with the United States Women's National Team at the World Cup and introduce you to a group of college kids that started their own soccer program in inner city Des Moines.
 
College coaches share why they attend US Youth Soccer's regional and national championships year after year and you can also experience the most inspirational David and Goliath story of the year.
 
This year's show was full of stories about kids just being kids while playing the worlds game in America.

This month's show is all about the movers and shakers in soccer around the country.

We discovered amazing stories about kids and organizations around the country creating opportunities and others breaking down cultural barriers through the game of soccer. We found a group who is making a difference for soccer in Region I by introducing the largest new soccer complex north of the Mason Dixon Line. We also heard from some kids playing soccer for Division I schools who told us how US Youth Soccer helped them to put their best foot forward.

We will tell you about how your local soccer program is affected by the decision makers on Capitol Hill and also tell you about the success of this year's Youth Soccer Month. Also, we have a few skills for you to work on to improve your game as well as trivia to test your soccer knowledge.

This month on the US Youth Soccer Show we are celebrating the four F's of Youth Soccer Month: Fun, Family Fitness and Friendship.

We discovered amazing stories about kids around the country receiving national awards and others breaking down barriers in their communities. We caught up with a group who made history at the US Youth Soccer National Championships and another who celebrated their last game as a team with the McGuire Cup in their hands.

We will tell you about how other sports, like karate, have helped create outstanding soccer players and show you how universities around the country are joining the celebration of Youth Soccer Month. We have a few skills for you to work on and improve your game as well as some trivia to test your soccer knowledge.

This month we did away with our typical format in order to bring you stories from the four US Youth Soccer Regional Championships that recently completed to set the stage for the national championships. In addition to the format change, we are happy to unveil a new host in Hilary Kennedy!

We traveled all over the country from Vegas to Maine during our regional championship events to get your stories. We met with multiple college coaches that were on the prowl for the next superstar, ran into an inspirational group of kids looking to give back to their community through soccer and might have even had a run in with Big Foot.

We found everything from a Baltimore team discussing the challenges of returning to regionals as a former national champion to a group out of Nebraska looking to be only the second team from their state to earn a place in the final four of the national championships.

This month's show is full of stories about inspirational kids and their challenging journeys to Frisco, Texas for the national championships.

In addition to these we turn our club spotlight to Kansas Rush and their college combine providing a unique environment for their players.

In this month's show you'll see highlights from the 2007 US Youth Soccer adidas Workshop and Coaches Convention in St. Louis, Missouri and US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program National Championships in Frisco, Texas. In addition to highlights from these events the Chicago Magic Soccer Club from Illinois will be in the club spotlight. The Magic have a rich history in the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series and are known for their development of youth players. The Show will also take a look into the history of the James P. McGuire Cup, awarded annual to the Under-19 Boys National Champion. The trophy is the oldest in youth sport, dating back to 1935. The show features much more for players, coaches and fans.

This month's show includes an interview with Marcelo Balboa former player of the Colorado Rapids and U.S. Men's National Team. The three-time World Cup defender and Hall of Famer is a US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program coach. US Youth Soccer ODP is viewed as the premier identification and development program for the nation's youth seeking the opportunity to compete at the national and collegiate levels of play.

In addition to Balboa's interview, a special feature from The Sports Source provides guidance for players hoping to play in college. More helpful tips and information about playing in college can be found on www.USYouthSoccer.org under the players section.

The National Athletic Trainers Association teams up with US Youth Soccer to discuss injury prevention and how to treat injuries. A certified athletic trainer demonstrates how to wrap your ankle, which will help every player.

Youth Soccer Month, now in its fourth year, is the annual celebration of soccer in America that takes place each September. This month's show includes an interview with Bobby Convey of Reading in the English Premier League and U.S. Men's National Team. Convey is a former US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program standout and product of the Philadelphia Soccer Club in Eastern Pennsylvania. Bobby's back at his home club to see how the group is doing and offer some input on a few drills.

In addition to Convey's interview, host Glenn Davis will sit down with the Houston Dynamo's Eddie Robinson, a former US Youth Soccer ODP standout from North Carolina where his mother, Kathy, serves as executive director of North Carolina Youth Soccer Association. Eddie talks with Glenn Davis about his experiences as a youth player and as a professional.

September's show highlights three teams: The Polar Bears of Bellingham, Massachusetts, the Giants of East Brunswick, New Jersey and the Dynamo F.C. of Indiana.

The Texans made history as the first team from the United States to win the Super Group featuring teams such as Blackburn Rovers FC, Real Madrid, Manchester United and US Youth Soccer member FC Delco Crunch.
