DESCRIPTION
This position in US Youth Soccer will be responsible for the implementation of coaching education programs to raise the overall standard of play within the United States, with a focus on US Youth Soccer’s core members; the recreational player and coach. The candidate for this position will create and implement coaching education programs to meet the specific and varied demands of all US Youth Soccer participants and provide unparalleled service for the enhancement of these programs at the state, regional, and national levels.
 
REQUIREMENTS
This position has the following major responsibilities:
* Coordinate, schedule and conduct US Youth Soccer/US Soccer Coaching Licensing available for states and regions in coordination with the State Director’s of Coaching, Regional Directors, and National Staff Coaches.
* Assist in the implementation and coordination of activities with the State Director’s of Coaching, State Director’s of Recreational Coaching Education, and State Offices for the purpose of coaching development and education.
* Support the implementation of defined performance standards to measure the success, effectiveness, acceptance, timeliness, and applicability of the coaching programs.
* Assist in creating consistent programming within each state and nationwide.
* Interface with US Soccer staff on coaching education programs and development.
* Develop, implement and administer advisory groups of State Director’s of Coaching to continue the development and enhancement of programming.
* Fulfill all other tasks as assigned.
Candidates for this position must possess the following qualifications:
* United States Soccer Federation National Youth License
* United States Soccer Federation “A” License
* Extensive coaching experience
* Proven teaching ability
* Understanding and belief in age appropriate development priorities
* Previous experience in national association player development programming
* Superior oral and written communication skills
* Extensive experience in working with volunteers
* Highly organized and able to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously
* A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent business work experience
 
The Assistant Director(s) of Coaching Education will report to the US Youth Soccer National Director of Coaching Education.
