 United States Men's Soccer all-time leader in goals and assists, Landon Donovan announced he would be retiring at the end of the season

Donovan isn't alone in his announcement as Chelsea striker, Didier Drogba announced he would be retiring from international soccer with the Ivory Coast.

The 50/50 Blog: 8.07.14



The MLS All-Stars defeated the reigning UEFA Champions League winners, Bayern Munich 2-1 yesterday with goals coming from Bradley Wright-Phillips and Landon Donovan.

The US U17 Men's National team defeated Columbia in a shootout to advance to the semifinals of the Copa Naciones de Mexico. Borussia Dortmund-bound Christian Pulisic found the back of the net for a fourth straight time.

Bayern Munich skipper, Pep Guardiola will hope to be invited back for revenge next year.

With Thierry Henry's career winding down, he proved yet again Wednesday night why he's one of the best players of his generation.Last night's match appears to be last All-star match for Thierry Henry.

The 50/50 Blog: 8.06.14


The MLS All-Stars will take on Bayern Munich tonight at 9:30 p.m. ET on ESPN 2.


The US U-20 Women's National Team fell 2-0 in a rematch of 2012 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup final. Things for the US doesn't appear to get a whole lot easier, as they next take on Brazil on Friday at 10 p.m. ET.

The 2014-2014 CONCACAF Champions League started last night with the only MLS team in action, Montreal Impact defeating Salvadoran club CD FAS 1-0
