Manager Regional Operations | US Youth Soccer


This position is responsible for supporting the State Associations of US Youth Soccer Region IV according to the requirements of US Youth Soccer, the region, and those State Associations who are members of the Regional Council with particular focus on member communications, the support and delivery of programs and services, and the expansion of organizational capacity.

This position has the following major responsibilities:

  • Provides information, technical assistance and support of the region’s efforts and those of the State Associations, leagues and clubs regarding an array of soccer matters within the region through proactive communications and relationship building
  • Responsible for the sharing of best practices and ensuring the consistent delivery of  US Youth Soccer programs and services to member organizations
  • Assists in the identification and preparation of needed information and materials for members
  • Develops, seeks resources and implements special projects within the region with oversight from the Director of Operations
  • Communicates and coordinates operations activities with the US Youth Soccer national office
  • Proposes new or restructured programs to serve members and advance soccer in the region
  • Coordinates the planning and execution of the ODP Summer Camps, ODP Sub-Regional Events, Regional Championships, ODP Championships, National Presidents Cup and other soccer competitions with respective program managers and technical staff
  • Plans and administers the regional workshops and meetings
  • Participates in the development of the budget planning process to ensure the needs of the region are met efficiently
  • Fulfills all other tasks as assigned to accomplish the goals of US Youth Soccer and the region 


Candidates for this position must possess the following qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of the administrative organization of youth soccer in the United States
  • Intimate familiarity with the policy base governing the operation of the game in the United States
  • Knowledge of the issues associated with youth soccer players, coaches and referees
  • Creative, highly organized and able to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Awareness, knowledge and experience in proposal conceptualization and development
  • Experience in successfully working with volunteers, preferably in a non-profit environment
  • Superior oral and written communication skills
  • At least 5 years of successful relevant working experience including volunteer supervision
  • Knowledge about Microsoft Office and related computer applications including the internet
  • An earned Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline. Suitable experience may substitute for some education requirement
  • Experience in building and managing budgets


This position will be based and report to the Director of Operations in the headquarters of US Youth Soccer in Frisco, TX
