We have entered the month of May, the final leg of the Spring 2012 Responsible Sports Community Grant presented by Liberty Mutual Insurance.  As the race for the 15 $2,500 grants heats up, be sure to follow your team or organization on the leaderboard at ResponsibleSports.com and post your teams results on your Facebook page using the Facebook share feature. 

 Visit the leaderboard, find your team and click the Facebook icon located to right of your team name.  By clicking the icon you’ll be able to post to your wall a message that includes your team’s current position on the leaderboard, the total certifications you’ve earned to date and a Responsible Sports image.  With this great tool you can remind your fans daily that if they have not already certified, to do so and that if they have certified, to remind their friends, neighbors and co-workers to do the same. 

There is still time to earn a grant and give your team the money it needs for new gear, equipment or tournament fees.  If you’ve already registered but don’t see your team in the top five of your category, now’s the time to rally support.  

The spring grant period ends May 31 and the winners will be announced in June.  If your team is not already in position to earn a grant there is still plenty of time to make a move and earn $2,500!  

The Liberty Mutual Insurance Responsible Sports^TM program supports volunteer youth sports coaches and parents who help our children succeed both on and off the field.  We offer many youth sports resources including $2,500 community grants, instructional videos, weekly tips, peer and expert advice, and coursework for those interested in improving the youth sports experience for all involved.
