US Youth Soccer Grants Program
Since 1998, US Youth Soccer has made over $2 million available for the growth of the game of soccer through grants and other financial support to member organizations of all 55 US Youth Soccer State Associations. Starting in 2010, US Youth Soccer will allocate more resources by adding the US Youth Soccer Recreation Grant Program.
 
In recent years, the grants have come in the form of soccer equipment from US Youth Soccer's official equipment supplier, adidas. With the support of adidas, the US Youth Soccer grants are made available to three separate, but equally deserving programs:  1) Recreation, 2) Soccer Across America and 3) TOPSoccer. Outlined below is the mission and criteria of each program grant.

Recreation Grants Program
US Youth Soccer established a grants program to help recreation programs of US Youth Soccer State Associations and other organization members, in existence at least three years that are in need of assistance to maintain and grow their recreation programs.  Applications from non-member organizations or members for less than three years will not be accepted.

·         Grants will be awarded annually on the basis of expressed and illustrated need, with emphasis on assisting recreation programs that serve players under the age of 12.
·         TOPSoccer and Soccer Across America programs are eligible for the Recreation Grant provided that they meet all other criterion. This includes being a good standing member for at least three years.  New programs are not eligible for the Recreation Grants, but are strongly encouraged to apply for the Soccer Across America Grant.
·         Intend to operate a soccer-specific program in the United States that coincides with US Youth Soccer's mission to foster the physical, mental and emotional growth and development of America's youth through the sport of soccer at all levels.
·         Applications should be submitted to US Youth Soccer national office at the following address:

·         Applications should include a letter to an employee of the State Association in which the organization operates notify the State Association of the applicant's intent to apply for a US Youth Soccer grant. The letter should specify the type of grant your organization is applying for (e.g. Recreation, Soccer Across America, or TOPSoccer).
·         Applications will be accepted beginning October 5, 2009 with a final deadline of January 8, 2010.
·         Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.
 
Soccer Across America Grants
Soccer Across America Grant History
US Youth Soccer's Soccer Across America (previously Soccer Start) is designed to introduce the sport of soccer to youngsters living in communities not yet served by existing clubs and leagues. Focused on making soccer available to lower-income children in underserved communities, Soccer Across America provides soccer training and administrative guidance to players and organizations that might otherwise not be exposed to the sport.

·         Grants will be awarded annually on the basis of expressed and illustrated need, with emphasis on assisting new programs in underserved communities.
·         Intend to operate a soccer-specific program in the United States that coincides with US Youth Soccer's mission to foster the physical, mental and emotional growth and development of America's youth through the sport of soccer at all levels.
·         Applications should be submitted to US Youth Soccer national office at the following address:

TOPSoccer Grants
TOPSoccer Grant History
US Youth Soccer TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a community-based training and team placement program for young athletes with disabilities, organized by youth soccer association volunteers. The program is designed to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any boy or girl, who has a mental or physical disability.

·         Grants will be awarded annually on the basis of expressed and illustrated need.
·         Intend to operate a soccer-specific program in the United States that coincides with US Youth Soccer's mission to foster the physical, mental and emotional growth and development of America's youth through the sport of soccer at all levels.
