Congratulations to the players selected to attend the U.S. Soccer camp next month!

June 5, 2014 04:15 PM

Last month, we told you about the prestigious identification camp being established by U.S. Soccer Development Director (since named head coach of the U.S. Women's National Team) Jill Ellis. It's purpose is to showcase the as-yet-undiscovered young female soccer stars throughout the 14 states that comprise Region IV, a region Ellis had noticed was producing a particularly high number of elite-level prospects.

Each state was asked to identify players to attend the four-day camp, July 5-8 in Ojai, Calif. To be eligible, a player must not have ever attended a National Team camp before. The new event will give these players the chance to be evaluated by U.S. Soccer staff for possible addition to the Youth National Team program. In addition, state Directors of Coaching will attend to have the chance to evaluate their own players in what should be a highly competitive environment.

Washington Youth Soccer wishes to congratulate the following players on their selection to this exciting opportunity!

2002 – Katherine O’Kane
2001 – Kylie Foutch
2001 – Kaylee Coatney
2001 – Rae Gerking
