Snohomish TOPSoccer Program Featured By US Youth Soccer

November 26, 2013 10:41 PM

TOPSoccer, The Outreach Program for Soccer, is a US Youth Soccer program which creates an opportunity for players with disabilities to be a part of the state’s thriving soccer community. Open to any player four years of age and older with a developmental and/or physical disability, the program matches up players of similar ability levels with specially trained coaches and volunteers to create an environment in which each player can grow emotionally and physically, and experience the joy of playing the game of soccer.

With teams formed by skill level, not age, and a strong coach/buddy-to-player ratio, players are encouraged to develop at their own pace, creating a positive environment in which players can thrive.

Recently, the Snohomish TOPSoccer program — one of 17 TOPSoccer programs throughout Washington Youth Soccer — was featured on the US Youth Soccer show, in a segment highlighting the benefits of TOPSoccer for players, their families, coaches and volunteers.
