Washington Youth Soccer launches US Soccer’s new National "E" License course. The E License is a modification of the previous E Certificate. The National "E" is an 18-hour course that covers the elementary principles of coaching. Geared to teach how to effectively coach the 9-12 year old athlete and team, coaches will gain a great understanding of the characteristics and needs of these age groups, in line with our Long Term Player Development Plan.

The License is centered on age-appropriate training, and post-course coaches will be able to execute a technical team training. Coaches will additionally understand and recognize the principles of attacking and defending in a small –sided game environment (3 v. 3 to 9 v.9)

The National "E" License is the prerequisite for coaches interested in taking the National D License, will serve as the foundation to proceed through coaching development courses.
