Indiana Soccer, the US Youth Soccer Association’s and US Soccer Federation’s only state soccer association, announced the details of the Indiana State Cup Finals.
As part of the US Youth Soccer National Championship series, the Indiana State Cup Finals will be held on June 1st and 2nd at the Richard Wigh Soccer Complex in Columbus, Ind.
“On behalf of Indiana Soccer’s Board of Directors and the 140 member clubs, I would like to thank the city of Columbus, along with all of the volunteers and families of Columbus Express for hosting the Indiana Cup Finals. I would also like to thank all of the participants of the preliminary rounds of the cup,” said Dave Guthrie, executive director of Indiana Soccer. “Competitions like these not only help mature these young athletes, but they also help develop some of the life skills necessary for them to become successful adults.”

Throughout the finals weekend, the Columbus complex will be hosting a number of Indiana Soccer’s supporting organizations including, Walton Webcasting, Radio Disney, High Performance Soccer and several others that partner with Indiana Soccer throughout the year. Peter Wilt, general manager of the newly formed Indy Eleven soccer team, will be presenting awards to some of the winning teams on Sunday, June 2nd.
Indiana Soccer’s TOPSoccer program will also be participating in the Indiana State Cup tournament. The community-based training and playing program for athletes with special needs is designed to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to all players; allowing Indiana Soccer to deliver on its commitment to be “The Games for All Kids”. The TOPSoccer participants from various member clubs will assemble for a fun-focused tournament on June 2nd beginning at 1pm.
Finally, Columbus will be hosting the final for the 2013 Adult State Cup games and the first Hoosier Cup Tournament for rec plus teams.
