Youth Soccer Month, a national celebration of soccer in America, is just around the corner!

During the month of September, clubs around throughout Indiana will be organizing special activities that highlight the benefits of youth soccer.  Each week of Youth Soccer Month, clubs and teams emphasize one of four messages: Fun, Family, Friendship or Fitness.

"These initiatives not only spread awareness for our state's programs but help us emphasize the importance of youth development as a whole," said Dave Guthrie, executive director of Indiana Soccer. "Grassroots events like these breed confidence and instill the life skills necessary for children in adulthood."

With 19 million children participating in soccer regularly, more children participate in organized soccer programs than youth football, baseball or basketball.

This year Indy Eleven will be joining forces with Indiana Soccer to make the month of September more attractive. Through combined efforts and cross-promotions, both organizations will have a presence at Youth Soccer Month events throughout Indiana during the month of September.

Indy Eleven and Indiana Soccer presence will be subject to availability.  However, Indy Eleven and Indiana Soccer will guarantee a package of promotional items for organizers to give away to attendees.
