The Board of Directors of the Jr. Irish Soccer Club is proud to announce the hiring of a new Director of Coaching (D.O.C.). Effective this month, Mr. Ken Nuber will be assuming the duties and responsibilities as D.O.C. on a full-time, year-long basis. Robert A. Wade, President of the Jr. Irish Board of Directors, feels Ken’s presence will have an immediate impact both on and off the field.
"We believe that hiring Ken on a full time basis will have a material impact on player and coaching development for the Michiana area. By having Ken devote his full time in this role we believe that our players will have an advanced opportunity to compete."
Ken comes to the Jr. Irish Soccer Club from his most recent position as the Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at the University of Notre Dame. During his time with Notre Dame, Ken’s team’s established a record of 94-21-8; three College Cup Appearances, two National Finals, and one National Championship. Prior to joining the staff at Notre Dame, Ken was the Head Soccer Coach for 14 years at the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, Indiana,
Ken brings a wealth of soccer experience and knowledge to the Jr. Irish Club. Along with his soccer resume, Ken also has a significant background in strategic planning, leadership, and fundraising. As the Club’s first full-time D.O.C., Ken is excited and sees a huge opportunity for the Club.

Youth soccer is about player development and that will be the primary focus of our club. The board has a very clear vision for the future of the club and I am honored to be apart of that vision."
Since 1977, The Jr. Irish Soccer Club has been the Premier Club for travel soccer players in Northern Indiana. The coaching staff is recognized as the best in the area and is affiliated with the University of Notre Dame, St. Mary's College, Bethel College, Holy Cross, Goshen College and most area high schools. With competitive teams in the Mid-West Regional League (MRL) and the Indiana State League (ISL), the Jr. Irish Soccer Club has the greatest number of licensed and top level coaches in the area.
Jr. Irish Soccer Club provides year-round training which includes intensive indoor training, special clinics and agility training, 2-3 training opportunities each week, competitive league play, quality tournaments including hosting the Memorial Day Invitational Soccer Tournament, opportunities with the Olympic Development Program, and a collegiate staff to help players identify appropriate universities for their college soccer career.
