Job Posting for a Part-Time Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant

Part-time Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant
Reports to:
Executive Director
Salary range:
Commensurate with experience and qualifications

Provide administrative support to the executive director. Duties include bookkeeping, working with the auditor, general clerical, receptionist and project based work along with supporting other staff. Project a professional company image through in-person and phone interaction. Position normally requires 25-30 hours per week and allows for a degree of flexibility regarding hours.
  1. Enter and manage all financial transactions using Peachtree for Nonprofits accounting software
  2. Answer telephones and transfer to appropriate staff member.
  3. Meet and greet clients and visitors.
  4. Create and modify documents using Microsoft Office.
  5. Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to: photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing.
  6. Maintain hard copy and electronic filing system.
  7. Sign for and distribute UPS/Fed Ex/Airborne packages.
  8. Research, price, and purchase office supplies.
  9. Act as point of contact for vendors
  10. Setup and coordinate meetings and conferences.
  11. Coordinate state office calendar.
  12. Collect and maintain PC inventory.
  13. Support staff in assigned project based work.
  14. Other duties as assigned.
  1. Schedule and arrange travel and overnight accommodations for staff
  2. Setup accommodation and entertainment arrangements for company visitors.
  1. Understanding and ability to apply GAP (general accounting principles) is a necessary skill requirement. Prefer applicant has experience working in an accounting firm.
  2. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Peachtree accounting software
  3. Knowledge of and ability to use appropriate telephone protocol.
  4. Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills.
Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
