Indiana Soccer is a not for profit organization located in Indianapolis, Indiana. The organization is led by volunteer Board of Directors consisting of nine elected representatives from across the state. A professional Executive Director along professional Directors oversee the different departments including Member Services, Education, Competition and Marketing & Communication. Administrative support staff and interns round out the state office staff team. Indiana Soccer serves 140+ clubs in twenty districts across the state. Each district is represented by a volunteer District Commissioner who acts as liaisons on behalf of all members within their assigned geographic region.
Outside organizations like the Indiana Soccer Foundation, the Indiana Soccer Hall of Fame, and the State Referee Association work in tandem with Indiana Soccer to create a better environment for youth and adult soccer.

Our mission is to serve and educate our members. Through the development of partnerships, we contribute to the development, promotion and administration of soccer in the state of Indiana.

Accepted Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Advertising, Telecommunication or related career interns have a great opportunity to be involved in a sport environment working with a unique group of professionals and sociable individuals whose goal is to promote the game of soccer across the state of Indiana. This team member is excited to be involved in the organization’s initiatives related to the fields described above. This person is willing to contribute to maintain and / or develop new initiatives that can contribute in the promotion of soccer and development of players in the state of Indiana.
The Indiana Soccer team member is excited about the organization and shares his/her love for soccer and the Indiana Soccer brand. The most important part of the Indiana Soccer team members’ job is to transform a consumer into an Indiana Soccer Endorser by engaging them to the organization through the different strategies and tactics created in conjunction with the Director of Marketing and Communication.
Office hours will be completed in the Indiana Soccer headquarters located in Indianapolis, Indiana between 9 am and 5 pm; however, much of the intern duties can be completed out of the office.

On-site hours may be required. They will be completed on location at various pre-determined spots in Indianapolis and its surroundings during various hours between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. The goal of your time spent on location will be to market the organization, educate our membership and drive potential players to current club members.

• Must own a car
• Must be proficient in social media and most popular marketing and communication tools
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point. Graphic design programs knowledge is a plus
• Must love people and soccer
• Must be interested in youth development
• Must be creative, innovative and think our of the box
• Must possess great attention to detail
• Must be a quick learner
• Must possess excellent writing and verbal communication skills
• Knowing to speak Spanish is a PLUS!

Intern’s Responsibilities:
• Assist the Dir. Marketing and Communication to create and manage fundraising events
• Assist the Dir. Marketing and Communication to revamp its “Give Back” plan
• Assist the Dir. Marketing and Communication to create and implement strategic plans in areas such as PR, Marketing and Communications
• Attend onsite community relations events to represent Indiana Soccer.
• Assist the Dir. Marketing and Communication to serve as liaison with organizations serving unprivileged children
