Indiana Soccer, in cooperation with FC Pride, the City of Lawrence and the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce, will host over 5,000 players, coaches, referees and spectators at the Indiana State Cup & Indiana Challenge Cup finals at Lawrence Park on June 12 and 13, 2010.
This family-friendly event is open to the public at 8:00 am on June 12th with the semi final rounds of the Indiana State Cup and Challenge Cup tournaments and featured soccer matches from TOPSoccer/Special Olympics, Soccer Across America, Power Soccer and the Indiana Soccer Adult State Cup.
The Radio Disney Road Crew will also be onsite on Saturday, June 12 from 1-2:30 pm. with lots of games, prizes and great music. Families can make a day of this event in the park with access to food, activities and more. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and join us for the 2:30 pm kick off of the 2010 FIFA World Cup USA vs England match on the big screen courtesy of Millennium Sounds of Indianapolis. Half time entertainment will include entertainment by old-time performing strong man Gavin Rulon.
On June 13th, champions will be crowned for both the Indiana State Cup and Challenge Cup events. The US Youth Soccer National Championship Series Indiana State Cup Champions will qualify to participate with more than 190 top boys and girls US Youth Soccer teams from 14 state associations competing for regional titles in respective age groups, June 26-30 at the US Youth Soccer Region II Regional Championships in Dayton, Ohio.
Regional winners of the Under-14 through Under-19 brackets earn a berth at the 2010 US Youth Soccer National Championships to be played July 20-25 in Overland Park, Kansas.
Admission to the US Youth Soccer Indiana Soccer State Cup and Challenge finals is free and open to the public.
