Indiana Soccer is pleased to announce the formation of a new, professional soccer team based in Indianapolis.

“It is important for our organization to help facilitate the expansion of soccer play at all levels,” said Dave Guthrie, executive director of Indiana Soccer. “The opportunity to partner with the new Indianapolis NASL professional team, will add new, exciting opportunities for our youth players, including training opportunities with seasoned professionals.”
The Brick Yard Battalion, the official supporting group of the Indy Pro Team and over 40 young players from several member clubs affiliated to Indiana Soccer attended the announcement yesterday to show the excitement around the team, which is now a reality. Thousands of young players from Indiana Soccer will find in the Indy Pro Team an inspiration to become better soccer players.

"We are so pleased to be making this announcement for the entire city of Indianapolis," said Murray Clark, president of the board for Indiana Soccer. "With the collaborative efforts of Governor Pence, the city of Indianapolis and local soccer enthusiasts, we're able to make this long-awaited dream a reality."

The team, which is taking name suggestions from the public on its website, will play in the North American Soccer League (NASL) starting in the spring 2014 season. The group of investors, headed by Indy Pro Team Chairman Ersal Ozdemir, has yet to finalize the location of its home stadium but provide updates in due course.

“We’re very excited to see our league expand with a new team in this growing fan base,” said Bill Peterson, commissioner of the NASL. “The NASL is forecasting Indianapolis to have a successful team representing thousands of soccer fans.”
“We are excited to bring high level professional soccer to Indiana,” said Ozdemir. “This team will be committed to giving back to the community, working with Indiana Soccer to help develop youth players and be an aspirational goal for the tens of thousands of young players throughout the state.”

“This partnership will also provide competitive opportunities for our state’s more accomplished players,” added Guthrie. “Indiana Soccer is excited about the future of soccer in Indiana and is thrilled to be partnering with the new NASL franchise to help deliver a more vibrant future for soccer players and soccer enthusiasts.”

The Indy Pro Team announced the season tickets sales for soccer fans. Indy Pro Team fans can visit and purchase the season package for only $135.
