There have been several articles in the media lately discussing parent's behavior with regards to youth sports. As a parent, you play a key role in your child's life and when it comes to their experience in youth sports, your role is just as important. This month's Positive Parenting article by Sean P. Cumming and Martha E. Ewing gives insights into how your attitude can positively affect your child's experience and how you can help other parents portray the same positive attitude.

Click here to read this month's parent education article - Parental Involvement in Youth Sports: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. US Youth Soccer Technical Department offers a number of programs to educate new youth soccer parents and help continue the progress of the game.

The US Youth Soccer Technical Department, in cooperation with the Coaching and Recreational Committees, created the Positive Parenting DVD, a 'view from the sidelines'.  The department developed a teaching tool designed for administrators, coaches, parents and anyone who cares about children to assist them in providing a positive learning atmosphere for our children. The DVD assists adults in helping young players play and keeping the fun in youth sports. Get your copy today at the US Youth Soccer Online Store!
