Family Wins Trip to 2005 MLS Cup
The Odom Family of Columbia, South Carolina earned a trip to the 2005 MLS Cup in Frisco, Texas thanks to Youth Soccer Month and their support of the University of South Carolina Women’s Soccer program. The Odom’s were supporting the University of South Carolina against Miami on September 18th. The game was one of more than 80 Youth Soccer Month themed events during the third annual Youth Soccer Month – Celebrating Soccer in September.
While at the game, the Odom Family received a Youth Soccer Month WebDecoder Contest Card. After the game they visited www.YouthSoccerMonth.org to see if they had won an instant prize. Although they hadn’t won an instant prize they were automatically entered into the grand prize sweepstakes; a trip for four to the 2005 MLS Cup!
“I thought it was a joke when we were first told we had won,” said Paul Odom, father. “I didn’t realize Ryan had entered the contest. We were in disbelief.”
Chosen at random from hundreds of entries, the Odom’s were provided airfare, hotel, gifts and tickets to the game.
“I never thought I’d win,” said Ryan. “We had a great time at the game and enjoyed the vacation as a family.
