Youth Soccer Celebration Begins

As a proud member of US Youth Soccer, Washington State Youth Soccer will take part in the fourth annual national celebration recognizing September as Youth Soccer Month. Washington Governor Chris Gregoire proclaimed September as Youth Soccer Month.

""

"Soccer has been an important part of my family's life,” declared Governor Gregoire. “Both of my daughters played soccer for many years - my youngest daughter still plays for her college team. I know firsthand the positive impact the sport had on their self-confidence and discipline."

“Washington State Youth Soccer Association is thrilled that Governor Gregoire has signed the proclamation,” stated Washington State Youth Soccer Association President Wain Jackson. “As a soccer mom, she recognizes the important role that youth soccer plays in both the emotional and physical development of our kids.”

During September, Washington State Youth Soccer will be celebrating Youth Soccer Month with various fun events such as those listed below, all around the state. Make sure to visit www.wsysa.com for more information.
