Players from the US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (US Youth Soccer ODP) Boys 1991 Regional Teams will travel to Argentina on Saturday, February 17, to participate in a series of friendly matches with teams from the top clubs in Argentina. The annual event, known as the US Youth Soccer ODP Boys International Festival, features teams from each of the US Youth Soccer ODP Boys Regional Teams as well as four Argentinean clubs.
In 2006, the US Youth Soccer ODP Boys 1990 Regional Teams won six matches, tied five and lost five matches during the International Festival in Argentina.

Respected as the top clubs in Argentina, the trip is both a developmental and cultural experience for these athletes and yet another opportunity made available by the US Youth Soccer ODP. In addition to the US Youth Soccer ODP Staff Coaches, U.S. Under-17 Men’s National Team Assistant Coach Raul Diaz Arce will be in attendance to further evaluate current members of his U.S. Soccer Residency Program and potential national team players. Seven members of the 2007 spring residency roster make up a portion of the regional teams in Argentina.
The teams will attend a professional match on February 17 and train on February 18. Match play will begin on February 19 and continue on February 20. Teams will have a day of rest on February 21 with match play continuing on the 22 and concluding on Friday, February 23.
