National League Boys and Girls Updates

Under-16 Girls Wrap Up Second Series of US Youth Soccer National League Games
 
 
ORLANDO, Florida (January 2, 2008) – Eclipse Select 91-92 (5-0-0) and ELA Elite (4-2-1) recorded Girls Under-16 wins today at Disney's Wide World of Sports in Florida to close out US Youth Soccer National League winter series of games.
 
Two first half goals against the wind by Vanessa Laxgang put Eclipse on its path to a 3-1 victory over the Syracuse FC Fury (0-7-0) despite playing the last 45 minutes a player down due to a send off. Eclipse moves into first place in the division, one point ahead of both ELA and the Dallas Texans Red 92 (4-0-1). The top three teams are all guaranteed a top four finish and thus have qualified for the 2008-09 NL season. Eclipse will meet the Texans on April 6 in Dallas as part of the spring series of National League games taking place on April 3-6.
 
Also today, ELA received goals from Kassidy Brown and Janelle Flaws in the first ten minutes of play and survived the PDA Fire's (3-3-1) offensive barrage in a 2-0 win. With the loss, PDA remains in fourth place and still in contention for a guaranteed spot in the NL for 2008-09. Both Connecticut FC United (2-3-0) and So Cal Blues-Lippens (1-1-1) have matches in Dallas and are also in contention for the fourth NL slot.

US Youth Soccer National League Girls Start the New Year
 
 
ORLANDO, Florida (January 1, 2008) – The Under-15 and Under-16 Girls started off the new year with matches at the Disney Soccer Showcase in Florida. Today was the last day of play for the Under-15 Girls until the April 4-6 series of games in Dallas. The Under-16 Girls Division has two games remaining on January 2 with additional matches also slated in April at Dallas.
 
In the Girls U-15 division, the PDA Tsunami (3-1-2) completed its 2007-08 National League campaign with a 3-0 win over LDC United (0-6-0). With the win, PDA moved into first place in the age group and qualified for National League play in 2008-09. The top four finishers in each age group qualify to return to National League play next season. In addition to PDA, the Dallas Texans 93 (3-0-1). Eclipse Select 92-93 (2-0-2) and So Cal Blues-Dodge have also clinched 08/09 National League slots.
 
The Texans currently sit in second place followed So Cal Blues-Dodge (3-0-0), Eclipse Select 92-93 (2-0-2), KCFC Alliance Intensity (2-4-0), the defending National Champion Sting 93 Dallas (1-3-1), and LDC. KCFC downed the Sting 1-0 in action Tuesday night.
 
Girls U-16 action on New Year's Day saw the PDA Fire (2-2-1) defeat Syracuse FC Fury (0-6-0) 3-1. Chrissy Lozier's goal in the final 15 seconds of play lifted Connecticut FC United (2-3-0) to a 1-0 win over ELA Elite (3-2-1) and keep CFC United's hopes alive to finish in the top four at season's end and secure a NL spot for the 2008-09 season. The U-16 standings have the Dallas Texans Red 92 (4-0-1) in first place followed by Eclipse Select 91-92 (4-0-0), PDA, ELA, CFC United, So Cal Blues-Lippens (1-1-1), Hurricane FC-Shubert (1-4-0) and Syracuse.
 
PDA faces ELA and Syracuse meets Eclipse in action At Disney's Wide World of Sports on January 2. The NL season will conclude for the U-16's with a series of matches on April 3-6 in Dallas.

Girls Play Continues for the US Youth Soccer National League with Texans taking lead in U-15 and U16 Divisions Heading into the New Year
 
 
ORLANDO, Florida (December 31, 2007) – Play continued today for the Under-15 and Under-16 girls teams in the US Youth Soccer National League. Games finished early today so that all players can enjoy their New Year Eve's celebration, but play continues tomorrow evening.
 
In Girls U-15 play on Monday, a trio of shutouts resulted in the Dallas Texans Red 93 (3-0-1) taking over first place followed by the idle So Cal Blues-Dodge (3-0-0), Eclipse Select 92-93 (2-0-2) and PDA Tsunami (2-1-2).
 
The Texans scored twice in the second half and downed cross-town rivals and defending National Champion Sting Dallas Royal 93 (1-2-1) 2-0, while Eclipse whitewashed LDC United (0-5-0) 4-0 and PDA defeated the KCFC Alliance Intensity (1-4-0) 4-0 behind Danielle Colaprico's two goals. U-15 play during the winter series of games concludes on Tuesday but resumes on April 4-6 in Dallas.
 
In the Girls U-16 division, the Dallas Texans Red 92 (4-0-1) moved into first place with two late goals for a 4-2 win over Syracuse FC Fury (0-5-0). Amanda Frisbie tallied twice for the Texans. PDA Fire (2-2-1) moved into fourth place thanks to Mary Gibson Wagner's game winning tally in a 2-1 win over Connecticut FC United (1-3-0). After spotting Hurricane FC 92 Shubert (1-4-0) an early goal, Kassidy Brown tallied three goals in leading ELA Elite (3-1-1) to a 3-1 victory to remain in third place. In a friendly, Eclipse Select 91-92 (4-0-0) downed NASA Elite 2-0.

Under-15 Boys Baltimore Casa Mia Bays and Solar Red Earn Berths to 2008 US Youth Soccer National Championships
 
 
Under-15 and Under-16 girls games kicked off today
 
ORLANDO, Florida (December 30, 2007) – The Baltimore Casa Mia Bays (4-1-1) captured the inaugural US Youth Soccer National League Boys Under-15 championship with a 3-2 victory over Solar Red (3-1-2) Sunday at Mickey's Retreat in Florida, as the National League winter series of games concluded for the boys.
 
The Bays and Solar, who finished one-two in the final standings, both earned tickets to the 2008 US Youth Soccer National Championships, as well as qualifying for the 2008-09 National League competition. The Bays are assured of defending their National Championship title won in July 2007 during the Nationals in Frisco, Texas.
 
The top four teams in each age group also qualify for NL play next season. Thus, with the Boys U-15 season concluding today, FC Delco Roadkill and the Chicago Fire Jrs. Red also qualified for 2008-09 National League campaign. In action this morning, FC Delco (2-1-3) captured third place with a 1-1 tie against Vardar (2-1-3). The Fire (2-2-2) finished in fourth place after a 2-2 draw against CASL Elite (2-2-2). Both teams finished the NL season with 8 points, but Chicago finishes fourth thanks to a better goal differential (+1 to -1 for CASL).
 
In Boys Under-16 action, the YMS Xplosion (5-2-0) won its third straight contest and finished its NL campaign with a 3-0 win over Arsenal Super Eagles (0-7-0). The victory moved YMS into a first place tie with the Dallas Texans 92 Red (5-0-0). The Texans will complete their season when Boys U-16 play resumes with a series of games on April 3-6 in Dallas.
 
Girls Under-15 action resumed today at Disney's Wide World of Sports with Sting Dallas Royal 93 (1-1-1) shutting out LDC United (0-4-0) 4-0. The Dallas Texans 93 Red (2-0-1) tied PDA Tsunami (1-1-2) 1-1, while Eclipse Select 92-93 (1-0-2) remained undefeated and moved into a third place tie with PDA with a 2-1 victory over the KCFC Alliance Intensity (1-3-0).
 
In a Girls Under-16 battle of undefeated teams, Eclipse Select 91-92 (4-0-0) won its fourth straight with a 4-1 win over its instate rival ELA Elite (2-1-1). The Dallas Texans Red 92 (3-0-1) remained undefeated with a 2-1 come-from-behind win over the PDA Fire (1-2-1). Hurricane FC 92 Shubert (1-3-0) won its first National League game with a 2-1 victory over Syracuse FC Fury (0-4-0).
 
The girls will continue with National League play through January 2, 2008 at Disney. The third and final series of games for Under-16 Boys and Under-15 and Under-16 Girls will take place in April in Dallas. At the April event the champions of the three divisions will be determined. The top two teams that do not qualify as Regional Champions will advance to the US Youth Soccer National Championships as NL representatives.

Solar Red or Baltimore Casa Mia Bays to be named in the Under-15 Boys Division
 
ORLANDO, Florida (December 29, 2007) – Stakes are high at the US Youth Soccer National League games as a Under-15 Boys team will be named champions of their division tomorrow and earn their place at the 2008 US Youth Soccer National Championship Series in North Little Rock, Ark.
 
Solar Red (3-0-2) won its third game in as many days with a 1-0 win over the Chicago Fire Jrs. (2-2-1) to move into sole possession of first place and set-up a Sunday battle for the inaugural National League Under-15 Boys title against the defending US Youth Soccer National Champion Baltimore Casa Mia Bays (3-1-1). The Bays face Solar at 10 a.m. A tie has Solar winning the National League title. The Bays moved into second place with a 3-1 win over FC Delco Roadkill (2-1-2). Also in the Under-15 bracket, Vardar (2-3-0) scored a 1-0 win over cross-town rival Michigan Wolves (0-5-1).
 
Meanwhile in the Boys Under-16 group, the Dallas Texans 92 Red (5-0-0) stayed undefeated and in first place with a 3-0 victory over the Arsenal Super Eagles (0-6-0), while YMS Xplosion (4-2-0) took over sole possession of second place with a 1-0 win over Cobb FC (1-3-1). YMS faces Arsenal in the final U-16 game at Disney on Sunday. Under-16 League play finishes in Dallas in April.
 
Tomorrow the Under-15 and Under-16 Girls teams will kick off their second series of league play. The girls' games at Disney run through Wednesday, January 2, 2008, with additional National League girls matches are slated for Dallas in early April.

ORLANDO, Florida (December 28, 2007) – A sunny and hot afternoon led to a warm evening as US Youth Soccer National League play concluded its second day of league play in Florida today.
 
In the Boys U-15 age group, FC Delco (2-0-2) and the Solar Red (2-0-2) sit in first place just one point ahead of the Chicago Fire Jrs. (2-1-1), Baltimore Casa Mia Bays (2-1-1) and CASL (2-2-1). In action on Friday, FC Delco tied CASL 0-0, and Solar Red (2-0-2) defeated Vardar (1-3-0) 3-0. Baltimore downed the Michigan Wolves (0-4-1) 3-0 while Chicago defeated Weston 3-1 in a friendly. Key matches Saturday feature Baltimore vs. FC Delco and Solar Red against Chicago. The final day of league play in the U-15 age group will be on Sunday, December 30th when the NL's first champion will be crowned.

ORLANDO, Florida (December 27, 2007) – US Youth Soccer National League play resumed today in Florida as part of Disney's Soccer Showcase. The Under-15 and Under-16 boys are kicking off the weekend and the girls teams will begin play on Sunday, December 30 through Wednesday, January 2.
 
More than 900 college coaches are expected to be in attendance for the weeklong event, according to the Disney soccer organizers.
 
In the Boys Under-15 age group, FC Delco Roadkill (2-0-1) moved into a first place tie with a 2-0 win over the Michigan Wolves (0-3-1), behind the shutout goalkeeping of Max Kurtzman. The Chicago Fire Jrs. (2-1-1) remained tied for first place after a 0-0 draw with the defending National Champion Baltimore Casa Mia Bays (1-1-1). Solar Red (1-0-2) won its first National League contest after a pair of draws with a 3-1 win over CASL Elite (2-2-0). Meanwhile, Vardar (1-2-0) downed Weston (FL) 3-1 in a friendly.
 
Friday's Under-15 action will see CASL face FC Delco, Vardar meet Solar Red, Baltimore Casa Mia Bays against the Michigan Wolves and the Chicago Fire Jrs. playing a friendly versus Weston.
 
The Dallas Texans (4-0-0) remained the only undefeated and untied team on the boys side with a 3-1 win over the YMS Xplosion (2-2-0). The Texans FC 91/92 (3-1-1) stayed within three points of first place with a 5-1 victory over the Arsenal Super Eagles (0-4-0). Also, Cobb FC (0-2-1) scored a 2-0 win over Inter United (FL) in a friendly.
 
Friday's U-16 play will see the YMS Xplosion face the Texans FC Red, the Arsenal Super Eagles against Cobb FC and the Dallas Texans meet Inter United in a friendly.
