US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (US Youth Soccer ODP) Girls 1992/1993 regional teams are participating in an international tournament on April 3-12, in San Jose, Costa Rica.
"The Costa Rica International Tournament is a unique opportunity for our US Youth Soccer ODP Regional teams to compete against foreign youth national teams. It provides our players with competition at the highest level, the experience of international travel and the chance to be exposed to different cultures. It is an experience that will create life-long memories and friendships," said Garry Moore, US Youth Soccer ODP Girls Committee Chairman.
Each of US Youth Soccer's four regions are sending a team made up of Under-15 and Under-16 players to compete against the U-17 National Teams of Trinidad and Tobago and Costa Rica with a combination of players born in 91, 92 and 93 and the U-20 National Teams of Chile and Honduras with a combination of players born in 89, 90, 91 and 92.
The U-20 teams are preparing for the U-20 FIFA Women's World Cup that will be hosted by Chile and the U-17 teams are preparing for the world cup qualifiers.

US Youth Soccer ODP, designed to identify and develop a pool of players from which U.S. National Teams may be selected, is the original ODP program. US Youth Soccer ODP is the only elite player development program that can claim members of Major League Soccer and the former Women's United Soccer Association, as well as a majority of current and past national and youth team members, as alumni. And, with programs in all 55 State Associations as well as regional and national championships and participation in international tournaments, US Youth Soccer ODP continues to lead the way in elite player identification and development.
