FRISCO, Texas (November 20, 2008) – Rosters are announced for the annual US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (US Youth Soccer ODP) Girls Thanksgiving Interregional. Games will be played at the North Community Park and Coral Glades High School Sportsplex in Coral Springs, Fla. Teams arrive Saturday, November 22, for two days of training, with competition beginning on the 24th and running through Friday, November 28.
All 18 of the U.S. Under-15 National Team players, have played US Youth Soccer ODP. In April, 10 players from the national team competed with their respective US Youth Soccer ODP regional teams in Costa Rica against national teams from Chile, Honduras, Trinidad and Tobago and host Costa Rica. The trip provided invaluable international experience.
Continuing its tradition of elite play, competition and player development, youth from the nation's elite player identification and development program, US Youth Soccer ODP, will train and compete in front of national and leading collegiate coaches to maximize their exposure for scholarships and advancement.
The US Youth Soccer ODP Girls Thanksgiving Interregional will represent teams in the 1992 – 1994 age groups including the U.S. Under-15 National Team.
