Kohl's US Youth Soccer American Cup Comes to Boca Raton

March 4, 2009 09:00 PM

Over 1,000 kids to take field in Kohl's US Youth Soccer American Cup

BOCA RATON, Fla. (March 5, 2009) – Boca Raton, Fla., will host the Kohl's US Youth Soccer American Cup, the largest recreational youth soccer tournament in the United States, at the Loggers' Run Community Park March 14-15.  The Florida Youth Soccer Association Region A Under-8 through Under-12 Boys and Girls Kohl's US Youth Soccer American Cup will bring together 85 teams on 4 soccer fields for the third annual soccer tournament held in Florida.

Kohl's American Cup offers youth soccer players an opportunity to play in a high-quality tournament in a fun, family-like atmosphere.  The program was started in 2000 as an avenue to highlight recreational soccer players and promote fair play.  Players receive equal opportunities and benefits within their level of play, with an emphasis on participation, rather than competition.

The Kohl's American Soccer Experience Vehicle will add even more excitement to the Florida Youth Soccer Association Kohl's American Cup. The Soccer Experience Vehicle comes complete with three larger-than-life inflatable soccer games and numerous prizes and souvenirs for participants and their families. In 2008, Soccer Experience Vehicles 1 and 2 covered over 38,000 miles.
This event is one of over 70 Kohl's American Cup tournaments being held from February to December.  All tournaments are open to players registered with a US Youth Soccer State Association recreational league.

Admission to Kohl's American Cup is free.
