FRISCO, Texas (March 12, 2009) – The US Youth Soccer National League Under-15 Boys resume play Friday, March 20, through Sunday, March 22, at Ultimate Soccer Arenas in Pontiac, Mich., a suburb of Detroit.

"With the title of Under-15 Boys US Youth Soccer National League champion and the top four coveted spots in their age group on the line, we are very excited to play this final weekend of National League games," said Paul Luchowski, US Youth Soccer National League Commissioner.

The Baltimore Casa Mia Bays 94 (MD) Under-15 Boys have secured a trip to the 2009 US Youth Soccer National Championships in Lancaster, Mass., July 21-26; however, the Under-15 Boys champion will be decided during League play in Michigan.

Luchowski said, "This season has been momentous as games have been held in conjunction with the Men's and Women's College Cups and Disney's Soccer Showcase to further display the nation's top teams that play in the National League."

The Dallas Texans 93 Red (NTX) Under-16 Boys and Dallas Texans Red 92 (NTX) Under-17 Girls are the first two teams to capture a League title and punch their ticket to the 2009 National Championships. Capturing the Under-16 Boys title earns the Dallas Texans 93 Red the right to return to the League for the 2009-2010 season. Dallas Texans Red 92 Girls are the reigning US Youth Soccer National Champions (Under-16 Girls). In the Under-16 Boys, second place GSA Phoenix Red 93 (GA), have also clinched a spot in the National Championships. The rest of the champions and final ranking will be decided March 13-15 in Las Vegas.

The National League is comprised of the top teams in the nation who have earned their spots through advancement from one of the four US Youth Soccer Regional Leagues. Throughout League play, teams not only seek elite development and identification, but they also vie for one of the coveted top two spots in the League, which provides a direct path to the annual US Youth Soccer National Championships.

The US Youth Soccer National Championships, established in 1976, is the country's most prestigious national youth soccer tournament, providing the opportunity for teams to showcase their soccer skills against the best competition in the nation while emphasizing teamwork, discipline and fair play.

At last year's US Youth Soccer National Championships, National League teams secured seven of the eight finals slots. National League teams went on to claim the Under-15 Boys (Baltimore Casa Mia Bays) and Girls (Dallas Texans 93 Red Dallas) as well as Under-16 Boys (Dallas Texans 92 Red) and Girls (Dallas Texans Red 92) national titles.
