When a team is awarded a free kick from a wide position range of 20-35 yards from the goal line they usually loft the ball into the penalty area in the direction of the far post. But, with this strategy, teams usually end up playing defense against their own free kick. In this month's Coaching Education article, US Youth Soccer's Interim Technical Director Sam Snow tells how to keep from counteracting your offensive efforts on a free kick from the flank.
