FRISCO, Texas (May 5, 2009) – US Youth Soccer is supporting Women's Professional Soccer (WPS) by partnering as an official grassroots supporter. US Youth Soccer has been grassroots partners with Major League Soccer since 2001 and is excited to support the new women's league.
WPS teams will support the US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program with special coach and player appearances. Also, the WPS web site will feature an area dedicated to highlighting former US Youth Soccer players who have advanced to play professionally in the WPS.
US Youth Soccer will provide support to the league and teams and work to create opportunities with US Youth Soccer State Associations and clubs.
