FRISCO, Texas (November 2, 2009) - Top national talent will converge on Disney's Wide World of Sports® Complex for the US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (US Youth Soccer ODP) Boys Thanksgiving Interregional. Teams from US Youth Soccer's four regions will compete Nov. 27-30, 2009. In addition to the 1995 and 1996 US Youth Soccer ODP Boys regional teams, the event will also feature the U.S. Under-14 National Team Navy and Red squads.

Continuing its tradition of elite play, competition and player development, youth from the nation's elite player identification and development program, US Youth Soccer ODP, will train and compete in front of U.S. National Team Staff, professional and collegiate coaches to maximize their exposure for selection to the next level of play.

Under-14 Boys National Development Program head coach Manny Schellscheidt believes, "Over the years, US Youth Soccer ODP has played a meaningful role in player development in the United States as it provides elite players from across the nation with valuable experience and a platform to improve. Our staff always enjoys a chance to attend an event which brings players together from different regions around the country. There is always good competition, and when you're able to evaluate players in these scenarios, you have a better idea of how they will fare as they attempt to reach the next level in their careers."

Rosters for the US Youth Soccer ODP Boys Thanksgiving Interregional will be released on Monday, November 9, 2009. For more information on the US Youth Soccer ODP Boys Thanksgiving Interregional, including scores, schedules and more, visit www.USYouthSoccer.org.
