Marcin was pivotal in advancing Providence to the Big East Championship semifinals this weekend as he notched both game-winning goals in victories over Villanova, the No. 4 seed in the Big East Red Division, and Connecticut, the top seed in the Big East Blue Division, last week. The junior midfielder netted the game-winner from 35 yards out with less than three minutes left in regulation to lift the Friars over Villanova 2:1 in a Big East Championship first-round road game on Nov. 4. Against the No. 8 Huskies on Nov. 7, Marcin scored the golden goal with 2:06 left in the first overtime period. He received a cross and used his left foot to net the shot to the far post in the 1-0 Big East Championship quarterfinal win.
