In the article, 1v1 is the most common situation, US Youth Soccer technical director Sam Snow tackles the most frequent tactical situation soccer players face. The 1v1 tactic practice needs to be implemented starting with the Under-10 teams, progressively increasing in skill and difficulty with age. Snow explains this technique as the base for all positions on the field offensively and defensively. In order to refine the players' skills in the 1v1 tactic, Snow gives basic exercises coaches can utilize during training sessions to maximize the players' knowledge and strength.
