May 31, 2010 10:00 PM

Games kickoff Thursday, June 10

FRISCO, Texas (June 1, 2010)
Teams from across US Youth Soccer Region III (South) will compete at the US Youth Soccer Region III Presidents Cup, June 10-13, in Broken Arrow, Okla., at Indian Springs Sports Complex.

Each US Youth Soccer State Association has determined the path to which teams advance to the Region III Presidents Cup. The teams will be among the more than 111 Under-13 through Under-17 Boys and Girls teams from the 12 State Associations competing for the regional Presidents Cup title.

The 12 State Associations in Region III, including host Oklahoma, will participate. The other State Associations represented are Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, North Texas, South Carolina, South Texas and Tennessee.

The US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup is designed for those teams seeking additional challenges to play against teams of similar abilities for a national title.  The cup provides a progressive, competitive experience to teams that might not otherwise get the opportunity to participate in a series of unique experiences highlighting competition, camaraderie and community from the state to regional to national levels of US Youth Soccer.

Regional winners of the Under-14 through Under-17 age groups earn advancement to the 2010 US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup July 8-11, at Richard Siegel Soccer Complex in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
