Teams set to compete in 2010 US Youth Soccer Region IV Presidents Cup

June 14, 2010 10:00 PM

Games kickoff tomorrow, Wednesday, June 16

FRISCO, Texas (June 15, 2010)
Teams from across US Youth Soccer Region IV (West) will compete at the US Youth Soccer Region IV Presidents Cup, June 16-20, in Medford, Ore., at U.S. Cellular Community Park Multi-Sports Complex.

Each US Youth Soccer State Association has determined the path to which teams advance to the Region IV Presidents Cup. The teams will be among the more than 77 Under-13 through Under-17 Boys and Girls teams from the 9 of 14 State Associations in Region IV competing for the regional Presidents Cup title.

Nine State Associations in Region IV, including host Oregon, will participate. The other State Associations represented are Alaska, Arizona, California South, Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada, Utah and Washington.

The US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup is designed for those teams seeking additional challenges to play against teams of similar abilities for a national title.  The cup provides a progressive, competitive experience to teams that might not otherwise get the opportunity to participate in a series of unique experiences highlighting competition, camaraderie and community from the state to regional to national levels of US Youth Soccer.

Regional winners of the Under-14 through Under-17 age groups earn advancement to the 2010 US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup July 8-11, at Richard Siegel Soccer Complex in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
