In an exciting U-13 Boys matchup, Goshen Stars United defeated SLSG Premier Green 2-1. Goshen’s Jesus Galvan opened up the scoring in the 15th minute, but SLSG’s Brett Kim tied the game less than 10 minutes later. Goshen came back stronger after halftime, and Flavio Humberto Cruz produced the game winning goal in the 38th minute.
Under-14 Boys: Crystal Lake Force Elite 98A (IL) 1-0 Legends Red (KS)
Crystal Lake Force took the U-14 Boys championship with their 1-0 win over Legends Red. Nikolas Getzinger’s 24th minute goal and Crystal Lake’s strong defense in the second half sustained the shutout and the win.
Under-15 Boys: Classics Eagles Black (OH-S) 1-0 Palatine Celtic Soccer Club (IL)
Ohio South Classics Eagles Black took home the crown, defeating Palatine Celtic Soccer Club 1-0. Most of the match saw a 0-0 score until Shaeffer Smith broke the stalemate in the 83rd minute. Not only did his goal help give his team the win, but it was also his 6th goal of the tournament making him the top leading goal scorer of the U-15 Boys division.
Under-16 Boys: CE Black (OH-S) 5-4 Tri-City Storm (ND)
In the U-16 Boys final between CE Black and Tri-City Storm, CE Black became victorious after winning in penalty kicks. The game saw a draw for its entire 80 minutes of play, and ultimately CE Black took home the championship outscoring Palatine 5-4 in PK’s.
Under-17 Boys: Toca USL (KS) 1-0 USF Real White (IN)
Toca USL took home the U-17 Boys championship by defeating USF Real White in a match that ended in penalty kicks. Both teams possessed strong defenders, resulting in a 0-0 score after regulation play. Ultimately Toca achieved the win, with a 5-4 score in PK’s.
Under-13 Girls: Ohio Premier Eagles Black (OH-S) 3-1 FC United Select (IL)
Ohio Premier Eagles became the U-13 Girls Region II Presidents Cup champions, defeating FC United in penalty kicks. Both teams put in a strong effort, but ultimately Ohio Premier took home the prize.
Under-14 Girls: SASA Spirits (IL) 1-0 DASC Black (SD)
SASA Spirits won the U-14 Girls final match, defeating DASC Black 1-0. Boyd Kendall’s first half goal and SASA’s solid second half performance helped SASA win the championship.
Under-15 Girls: SWISA Mutiny (IN) 1-0 Palatine Celtic Soccer Club (IL)
In the U-15 Girls final, Indiana’s SWISA Mutiny team defeated the Palatine Celtic Soccer Club from Illinois. The match saw a scoreless draw for its entire 80 minutes of play, but ultimately SWISA took the championship outscoring Palatine in PK’s.
Under-16 Girls: SD United Legacy (SD) 1-0 Cincinnati West SC United Red (OH-S)
SD United’s Brooke Swoboda helped boost her team to a 1-0 win in the U-16 Girls final against Cincinnati West SC. The match saw a scoreless first half, and then Swoboda saw the back of the net in the 64th minute, giving SDU the title.
Under-17 Girls: Tri City Storm Black (ND) 1-0 Panathinaikos Academy (MO)
Tri City Storm took home the U-17 Girls championship by defeating Panathinaikos Academy 1-0. Anna Reinholz scored early in the match in the 13th minute, and Tri City Storm’s sturdy defense was able to maintain the shutout for the rest of the match.
