Washington and Colorado Bring First US Youth Soccer ODP National Championship Gold Home on Return from Vegas
As the sun set, and the lights of the Vegas strip powered up, the US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (ODP) National Championships came to a close and crowned four US Youth Soccer ODP National Champions. Leading the way with two teams in the gold, California South's 1988 Boys and 1986 Girls were the last teams standing in their respective age groups while Washington's 1988 Girls and Colorado's 1986 Boys took their place in the history book of the largest youth sport organization's elite competition.

At the conclusion of Sunday’s play, adidas names the Golden Boot and Golden Glove winner of the championship match. This year’s winners were honored for their outstanding efforts and impact on their teams’ successes.

After their run to the 2004 US Youth Soccer ODP National Championship in Vegas, the Colorado 1986 Boys team have reaped the benefits of their successes in many ways.
Tomorrow the team will be presented a day of their own, curiosity of the State of Colorado and Governor Bill Owens who will announce May 12, 2004 as US Youth Soccer ODP 1986 Boys National Champions Day in the State of Colorado.

US Youth Soccer ODP National Championships Semifinal Results
March Madness of a different kind kicked off today in Las Vegas as America’s elite youth soccer talent participated in the 5th annual US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (ODP) National Championships. Opening semifinal matches between North Texas – Washington as well as North Carolina-Wisconsin set the tone for the semifinal rounds played at the Bettye Wilson Soccer Complex with teams from state level US Youth Soccer ODP programs competing for a chance to be named National Champions.
Girls and boys 16 and under teams were the first to compete, followed by the 18 and under teams playing beneath the lights of the desert skyline. All sixteen teams in this weekend’s competition played their way in by winning their respective region’s events.

'86 and ’88 Girls Rosters Announced for Vegas
US Youth Soccer ODP National Championships
Girls teams from Cal South, Missouri, New Jersey and North Texas will represent the 1986 age group while teams from Connecticut, Illinois, North Texas and Washington will compete for the 1988 age group at this year’s US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program National Championships.
The US Youth Soccer ODP National Championship teams are ‘all in’ for the elite event scheduled this weekend in Las Vegas at the Bettye Wilson Soccer Complex. Play will begin at 1:00 pm on Friday, March 19 and conclude on Sunday, March 21 with the girls ’88 championship match at 8:00 am and the ’86 championship match at 12;30 pm.

US Youth Soccer ODP National Championships
The US Youth Soccer ODP National Championships brings top male and female youth players in the United States to match skills with one another. State ODP teams compete in each of US Youth Soccer's four regions for the chance to participate in the annual National Championships tournaments. The Championships offer players an incentive to continue their participation in the state's Olympic Development Program, which seeks to enhance and accelerate their growth through a variety of competitive elements. ODP identifies and develops youth players throughout the country to represent their State Associations, Region and the United States in national and international competition. Players are selected on the basis of open tryouts. The US Youth Soccer ODP National Championships spotlight the future U.S. Soccer stars, and allows exposure to national team and college coaches.
