On July 26th, John Janasik, US Youth Soccer Region II TOPSoccer Chairman and President of the Wisconsin Soccer Assn, had heart by-pass surgery at St. Luke's hospital.
Today, August 19, John continues his recovery from by-pass surgery. While still in intensive care, his condition has improved. The ventilator tube was relocated to his throat through a tracheotomy, so he is now able to speak. Doctors have again reduced his medications and the amount of assistance he needs from the ventilator. He is able to sit up and even took a few steps within his hospital room yesterday. Both John and Jeanette thank everyone for their cards and prayers these past weeks.
