Youth Soccer Month Giant Jersey Tour Launches this September
Tour launches Passback Program's World Record attempt
Stickley to lead the Tour across America promoting benefits of healthy, active lifestyle
US Youth Soccer will be kicking off the national celebration of Youth Soccer Month on September 1 with the Youth Soccer Month Giant Jersey Tour. The tour will begin at Georgia Soccer's Atlanta Cup and travel around the country throughout the month. The tour will make stops at numerous events and collect gently worn soccer equipment to aid those less fortunate.
Powering the tour is a Youth Soccer Month branded SUV spreading the excitement of soccer to all and promoting the benefits of a healthy, active lifestyle. Stickley, the US Youth Soccer mascot, will lead the tour taking pictures with fans and at various landmarks along the tour's route. Stickley will archive his adventures in his very own blog on
www.YouthSoccerMonth.org, as well as post photos along the way.
To enhance the tour's momentum, US Youth Soccer has partnered with the U.S. Soccer Federation's Passback Program to collect gently used soccer equipment, specifically cleats, at each stop on the tour. To view all stops along the way,

The Foundation plans on setting the World Record for the longest consecutive line of shoes and will have all of the shoes on display at the National Soccer Coaches Association of America convention in January.
The Passback Program helps meet the soccer uniform and equipment needs of all communities, regardless of income, gender or location. Since its inception, the program has grown enormously and thousands of pieces of equipment have been collected and distributed to schools, clubs and youth organizations across the nation.
From a small school in Zimbabwe to an after-school program in inner-city New York, Passback gear has found its way to all corners of the globe! US Youth Soccer is proud to partner with Passback for the Giant Jersey Tour and assist their efforts in collecting equipment and promoting the program.
There are over 150 events currently schedule in support of Youth Soccer Month. For more information about Youth Soccer Month and the other events throughout September, including more on the Passback Program, please go to www.YouthSoccerMonth.org.
