The US Youth Soccer Show’s Hilary Kennedy to co-host live program at the NSCAA Convention

FRISCO, Texas (January 7, 2014) — The opening night of the NSCAA Convention in Philadelphia will be brought to you live from NSCAATV, and The US Youth Soccer Show’s Hilary Kennedy will serve as co-host alongside Dean Linke from NSCAATV and Will Parchman from TopDrawerSoccer. The two-hour live show will begin at 7:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, Jan. 16.

Thursday's live program will include Division I College Cup winning coaches (Notre Dame’s Bobby Clarke and UCLA’s Amanda Cromwell). It will also feature the leading personalities from the high school and youth soccer scene. This includes US Youth Soccer Executive Director Jim Cosgrove and US Youth Soccer Director of Coaching Education Sam Snow. Other highlights will include those from Major League Soccer — including the 2014 SuperDraft held that day at the Convention — NWSL, USL and an update on the U.S. National Teams. Look for NSCAA CEO Joe Cummings, NSCAA Director of Coaching Education Ian Barker, and others in the coaching circle to share the latest in coaching education.

“During the college season, NSCAATV brought you 18 outstanding college soccer review shows, as well as more than 40 college games at all levels,” Cummings said. “That show set a terrific standard of what we can bring to our constituents and for that matter, soccer fans in general.  We will bring that same quality programming to the NSCAA Convention.

“Adding the show as a live broadcast just as the NSCAA Convention Exhibit Hall doors open will introduce another exciting element to the week’s events.”

Kennedy, who has hosted The US Youth Soccer Show since 2008, will also serve as host of the 2014 US Youth Soccer Awards Gala on Friday, Jan. 17, in addition to her co-hosting duties with NSCAATV. On the live NSCAA program, she’ll work alongside Linke, who has done play-by-play for the past two Under-19 Boys James P. McGuire Cup broadcasts at the US Youth Soccer National Championships. Also sharing co-hosting duties will be Parchman, who covers all levels of soccer and is the editor of “The 91st Minute” blog on TopDrawerSoccer.com.

“TopDrawerSoccer is excited to be involved with NSCAATV and the NSCAA Convention,” said Max Boigon, TopDrawerSoccer.com vice president. “As hosts of the Official NSCAA College Soccer Scoreboard, we value our position within the soccer landscape and look forward to highlighting the past year in college, club, youth, and high school soccer and hearing from those that make it all possible.”

Todd Roby, US Youth Soccer’s director of marketing and communications, is delighted that youth soccer will also have a voice at the NSCAA Convention as part of this unique program.

“US Youth Soccer is proud to be a partner with the NSCAA and to have our Workshop take place during the annual convention to further the educational track for youth soccer,” Roby said. “The week is full of education, networking and looking to the future of the game - the show will give those that aren’t able to attend a glimpse into what the week holds.”

Stay tuned for more information on the special guests that will be included in the show as the NSCAA Convention dates approach. There is still time to register for the NSCAA Convention and US Youth Soccer Workshop, and it can be done online at NSCAA.com/convention.
