BARBOURSVILLE, W.Va. (June 18, 2017) - The 2017 US Youth Soccer Region I Presidents Cup continued its second day of play in Barboursville, W.Va. The tournament’s over 100 Boys and Girls teams, in the 12U through 17/18U age groups from US Youth Soccer Region I, are competing for a chance at becoming Region I Presidents Cup champions.
Preliminary games were completed today along with semifinal matches for each age group. All final matches will take place tomorrow, Monday, June 19, at Barboursville Soccer Complex with the 13U through 17/18U regional champions advancing to the National Presidents Cup which takes place July 12-16 in Auburndale, Fla.
Of the teams who will be competing for regional titles in Monday's final matches, there are eight Eastern Pennsylvania, four New Jersey, four Virginia, three Maryland and two PA West teams along with one team each from Connecticut, New Hampshire and West Virginia.
The US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup offers teams the challenge of experiencing different types of play by competing from state to regional to national levels. The Presidents Cup provides teams with a progressive, competitive experience that highlights competition, camaraderie and community.
