The ODP West 2003 Boys team traveled to Costa Rica, Feb. 10-17, for an international trip of a lifetime. Take a look at the recap of their trip below. 

US Youth Soccer ODP West Region sets out each year to identify the best youth players from each State Association to represent the region team in national and international events. The US Youth Soccer ODP Boys International Tour provided a great opportunity for the boys to develop as soccer players while competing in an international event against top professional academy teams. This year’s competition schedule included: Alajuela U-15, Carmelita U-17, Saprissa U-15 and Heredia U-17.

The primary purpose of this event is to provide each player an opportunity to experience the culture of Costa Rica and to develop as a player through competition against top-level international competition. Every player competed in each game and was provided the opportunity to start at least one game throughout the event.

Of the ODP West 2003 participants in the 2017 ODP Boys Thanksgiving Interregional, 15 players returned to compete in Costa Rica.
