Greenville, S.C. (June 13, 2018) – The 2018 US Youth Soccer South Presidents Cup is now underway in Greenville, S.C. The five-day event, which takes place June 13-17, kicked off Wednesday with 13U through 18U Boys and Girls teams starting the action at the MeSA Soccer Complex.
The event features more than 130 US Youth Soccer boys and girls teams competing for a regional title and a chance to advance to the 2018 US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup, July 11-15 in Westfield, Ind.
Preliminary games will continue through Friday, June 15. Semifinal matches will take place on Saturday, June 16. Regional champions will be crowned following final matches on Sunday, June 17.
South Carolina Youth Soccer Association will host the event, and the 11 other State Associations represented include Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, North Texas, Oklahoma, South Texas and Tennessee.
The US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup offers teams the challenge of experiencing different types of play by competing from state to regional to national levels. The Presidents Cup provides teams with a progressive, competitive experience that highlights competition, camaraderie and community.

13-Under Girls
Austin Texans 05 (TX-S) and Cainhoy Hurricanes (SC) are tied at the top of Group A after Texans earned a 5-1 win against Trussville United Blaze 05 (AL), while Hurricanes defeated Athens United 05 Gold (GA) 2-0. Group B is up for grabs after both matches ended in draws as OCYS 2005 Purple (FL) and 05 NCFC Gold North (NC) battled to a scoreless draw, while Mandeville SC Lakers Elite (LA) came back from a two goal deficit to draw Sting Dallas 05 Roach (TX-N) 2-2. OK Energy Central Green (OK) took sole possession of first place in Group C after a win against Arkansas United Navy (AR), while SCUFC 06 (SC) and Tennessee SC Premier (TN) each found the back of the net in a 1-1 draw.
14-Under Boys
Maya Halcones (TX-S) and Eagle Express Red (TN) rose to the top of Group A courtesy of two opening-day wins as Halcones won 3-1 against 04 NCFC Gold North (NC), while Express defeated ESC 04 (SC) 3-2. Solar SC 04 Haylock and CFA Dalton 04 Elite (GA) both used convincing day one wins to move to the top of Group B. In Group C, Sporting Arkansas 04 Premier (AR) narrowly defeated DC Galaxy 04 (MS) 2-1 to claim the top position after the first day of play. South Orlando Soccer Club (FL) and OEFC Central 04 Green (OK) battled to a scoreless draw in the other Group C match.
15-Under Girls
Florida Elite 2003 (FL) holds the top spot in Group A after a 2-0 win against Real Arkansas 03 Gold (AR) and a 1-1 tie between DDYSC 03 Wolves (GA) and Dynamo Juniors Elite (LA). Sparta FC (TX-N) moved to the top of Group B after earning a 6-0 win against Hoover Lady Phantoms (AL). In Group C, FC Dallas Tri 03/04 (TN) and Alamo City SC 03 Gold (TX-S) secured 4-0 wins against JIYSC 03 Black (SC) and OEFC 03 Navy (OK) respectively.
16-Under Boys
Arkansas United 02 Navy (AR) sits alone at the top of Group A courtesy of a 3-0 win against Lakeland Toros Red (SC). Goals were not hard to come by in the other Group A match as New Orleans Spartans FC (LA) and Music City FC Premier (TN) battled to a 4-4 draw. Dallas Texans 02 Forth Worth Red (TX-N) scored four unanswered goals in a 4-1 win against CFA Dalton 02 Premier (GA), while the match between OK Energy FC East Green (OK) and defending Southern Presidents Cup champions FC Dallas RGV 02 Red resulted in a 1-1 draw. Cape Coral Cyclones (FL) and 02 NCFC Gold North (NC) earned day one wins against Fusion 02 (AL) and Klein FC Athletic (TX-S) respectively to advance to the top of Group C.
17-Under Girls
Q Factor 01 (TX-N) netted three goals in the first half to secure a 3-0 win against Toombs County (GA). The North Texas side will be joined at the top of Group A by Elite Soccer Academy (FL), which outlasted hometown CESA 01 Challenge (SC) 3-2 on the first day of play. 01 TUSA Wake Blue (NC) sits alone at the top of Group B after a 3-1 win against Lady Fusion 01 (AL) . NUSA Maroon (TN) and Galaxy SC 01 Red (TX-S) moved to the top of Group C after wins against CRFC Sky 01 (SC) and Dynamo Juniors Elite (LA) respectively.
18-Under Boys
00 NCFC Gold South (NC) sits alone at the top of Group A after edging out Clarkson FC Red (GA) 2-1 on the opening day of play. 00 CSA Charlotte Copa (NC) got off to a 2-0 lead against AAOS 00 (TX-N), but the North Texas side would respond with two goals to knot things up at 1-1. Tampa Dynamo Red (FL) earned a 1-0 win against OEFC Central 00 Green (OK) to move to the top of Group B. Sporting Arkansas took care of business against Liverpool FC CTX 00 Owen (TX-S) with a 6-0 win, while Coast FC 00 Red (SC) started off its Presidents Cup with a 5-3 win against ISC 00 Elite (TN).
