Subject: 2020 Boys & Girls USYS National League Las Vegas Games Cancelled

Given heightened air travel concerns, and with the health of our soccer community in mind, the 2020 USYS National League games in Las Vegas, NV for boys and girls have been canceled.

The decision has been made in accordance with the guidance of public health and medical professionals as well as the ongoing acceleration of the coronavirus in communities from which our soccer families reside. As the number of state emergencies increases, we have decided to exercise caution in the interest of our soccer family.

“We understand and share the disappointment with our players, coaches and families,” USYS Chair, Dr. Pete Zopfi said. “Regrettably, the air travel environment, and related information and recommendations presented to us from public health authorities and medical professionals have convinced us that this is the most prudent decision.”

We’d like to thank all of our USYS National League families, staff and volunteers, for your ongoing support of USYS as we manage our programming given the current health and travel environment. The safety and security of our soccer community is, and always will be, our highest priority!

Please note, all policies regarding USYS activities are subject to change based on the ongoing review of circumstances. Further details regarding the impact of coronavirus on USYS programming will continue to be shared via official USYS communications channels.
