All-Star Teams Announced for the 2018 US Youth Soccer ODP Girls Thanksgiving Interregional

Event Results

FRISCO, Texas (Dec. 10, 2018) – US Youth Soccer is proud to announce the US Youth Soccer ODP All-Star teams for the 2018 US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (US Youth Soccer ODP) Girls Thanksgiving Interregional, which recently took place Nov. 19-22 at Spanish River Athletic Park in Boca Raton, Fla. Of the nearly 300 players that participated in the event, five rosters were constituted based on outstanding performance – one for each of the 2001/2002 through 2005 age groups.

The top goal scorer of the week was West Region's Mollie Griswold from the 2001 age group with six goals. South Region’s Pia Beaulieu, Mary Whitacker Buchanan, Isabel Kimberly and Olivia Lebdaoui topped the 2003 age group with three goals each. Also with three goals, South Region’s Jordyn Dudley topped the 2004 age group. The 2005 age group was topped by Wrianna Hudson (East) and Samantha Smith (West) – each scoring three goals. The West Region won the most games of any region, with six wins across all age groups while no team was able to finish a perfect 3-0-0.

The US Youth Soccer ODP Girls Thanksgiving Interregional featured players that were selected from US Youth Soccer State Association and Regional level evaluations. Throughout the event players attended training sessions and competed in matches in front of U.S. Soccer national staff and collegiate coaches for the opportunity to be selected to a higher level of play.

With programs in all 55 US Youth Soccer State Associations, US Youth Soccer ODP, the original Olympic development program, is available to any player. US Youth Soccer ODP is the only elite player development program that can claim members of Major League Soccer, the National Women’s Soccer League, and the majority of current and past national and youth national team members, as alumni.
