This position provides administrative support to the adjudication committees--Appeals, Discipline & Protest, Ethics & Grievance--as well as providing training and support to member club administration to maintain compliance with Georgia Soccer, US Youth Soccer (USYS), US Adult Soccer Association (USASA) and US Soccer (USSF) rules and regulations. Title: Member Support Manager

Department: Membership

Reports to: Director of Membership

Position Summary: The primary focus of this position is to support the Georgia State Soccer Association (Georgia Soccer) and its members. This position provides administrative support to the adjudication committees--Appeals, Discipline & Protest, Ethics & Grievance--as well as providing training and support to member club administration to maintain compliance with Georgia Soccer, US Youth Soccer (USYS), US Adult Soccer Association (USASA) and US Soccer (USSF) rules and regulations. Administrative responsibilities include but are not limited to Interstate Permission, International Clearances, Notification of Travel, transfers and releases, and tournament roster verification.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Governance or Sports Administration, is process oriented and have experience educating, applying and interpreting rules & regulations in a sport setting. The candidate must have experience and proficiency working with Member Management/registration Systems and be comfortable working online. Communicating with members or customers on a day-to-day basis is a necessity. Basic understanding of sports governance, and/or sports administration is necessary. A passion for sports, in particular soccer, is a must.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Administration – Risk Management & Compliance

a. Support Adjudication Committees; Appeals, Youth Discipline & Protest, Adult Discipline & Protest, Ethics & Grievance.

b. Administer and communicate all hearing notices, hearing decisions, suspension notices etc.

c. Educate membership on adjudication processes, Georgia Soccer Risk Management and Background Screening Policy, and other related processes

d. Liaise with US Soccer and/or SafeSport with respect to Discipline & Risk Management (DARM) reporting.

2. Registration & Member Service

a. Roster verification; provide support to membership for club, league and Regional and National event rosters. Liaise with Tournament & Event Manager to verify event rosters are in compliance with appropriate governing body or league rules.

b. International Transfer Certificates (ITC); research player history for USSF.

c. Process interstate permission forms, guest player requests, file electronic Notification of travel.

d. Educate membership on risk management processes, background check screening, adjudication processes.

e. Assist the Director of Membership with transfer and releases.

f. Assist membership using the US Soccer registration system.

Job Specification & Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in Sports Administration or Sports Governance.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong organizational, administration and procedural skills.

• Customer and Member service experience required.

• An understanding of the SafeSport Act.

• Prior experience using a Member Management / Player Registration system is preferred.

• Knowledge of youth and amateur soccer administration and operations preferred.

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
