JOB TITLE: Media and Communications Manager
REPORTS TO: Director of Operations & Finance
JOB SUMMARY: The Media and Communications Manager position requires an individual with a passion for social media to interface across all areas of media platforms. The Media and Communications Manager is a great communicator who understands how to manage their time while working on multiple promotional projects.
The manager is responsible for executing daily engagement on social media platforms, program/event signage and recaps, sponsor relations, and local advertising. The Media and Communications Manager will work with each department within the UYSA office to ensure media plans are created and carried out for each program/event.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- This individual must possess strong written and verbal communications skills
- Manage several tasks or projects simultaneously
- Organization and ability to manage multiple social accounts
- Demonstrate proficiency and creativity in video editing, photography, and design, using the Adobe Creative Suite as well as mobile media platforms
- This individual will have a solid understanding of how each social media channel works and will increase public engagement with content, ideas, and promotions
- This individual will need to be flexible regarding the work schedule with regular night, weekend and holiday work expected
- Positive attitude, detail, and customer-oriented
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Marketing
- Work with each department to create and implement a media plan and timeline for UYSA events and programs including but not limited to State Cup, Presidents Cup, Coyote Cup, Youth Soccer Month, Golf Tournament, ODP, AGM, State Competition League, and the USL2 team.
- Provide coverage and write-ups for assigned state, regional, and national tournaments/events
- Manage UYSA email blasts platform for sanctioned tournaments/camps, etc.
Sponsorship Relations
- Ensure that all marketing/communication related obligations are met for each sponsorship
- Provide a brief review for sponsors after each event
- Provide end of the year review book for each sponsor
Social Media Platforms
- Engage with membership on social media platforms
- Create content schedule ensuring that content is even and consistent throughout the year
Graphics/Website
- Create graphics, logos, and other needed designs for leagues and programs
- Maintain UYSA website and update content
Promotion Management
- Create carry out promotional events/ideas that generate excitement and involvement of UYSA members
USL2 Marketing
- Create marketing program for UYSA’s USL League 2 franchise, Salt City SC
