Technical Director - North Texas Soccer
Job Summary
• Strategically guide NTSSA coaching education and ODP programs to align with national soccer guidelines
• Maintain NTSSA presence and influence in state and national soccer forums
• Attend or present at local, regional and national conferences, symposiums, and workshops
• Act as a resource within the state for all soccer-playing matters
• Mediate and resolve conflicts arising in areas of responsibility
• Educate and mentor coaches, formally and informally
• Cultivate relationships with leaders of soccer associations and competitive clubs
• Provide input on NTSSA budgets, and monitor actual expenditures against the budget for Coaching Education and ODP programs
• Reports to the Executive Director, and makes reports to the board of directors, and associations on initiatives
• Travel as needed for state/local training and events, and for some regional/national events

• Manage NTSSA sub-regional and regional participation in competitions
Coach Education
• Align NTSSA philosophy with USSF and US Youth Soccer
• Adapt state coach certification courses and clinics to meet the needs of the members
• Provide vision, leadership, and direction for the USSF grassroots initiative
• Act as NTSSA grassroots ambassador to 115 local soccer associations
• Connect to soccer associations via clinics, roadshows, and virtual meetings
• Serve as an oversight or lead instructor for all grassroots clinics and licensure courses
• Select, train, mentor, and evaluate grassroots and C course staff instructor coaches
• Promote, advertise and implement coach certification courses
• Host annual US Soccer National C License
• Maintain records of courses and clinics (attendance, financial, etc.)
• Ensure coach licensure is updated in the NTSSA database
Qualifications and Experience
• USSF Educator of Coach Instructors for GRIL and D
• USSF Grassroots Instructor License (GRIL)
• USSF A License preferred
