"The Regional experience is special -- and that will never change," Greene said. "For these kids, it's a good starting point to continue on to whatever future competitions they'll be in, and this is always special. To win is even more special."

Greene also shared his thoughts on what US Youth Soccer has done to give his girls the opportunity to develop.

"It gives them, especially girls, every chance they get to play high-level competition and to be taken seriously," Greene said. "All you have to do is watch that (final) game to understand how far these kids have come, and they've had really good examples to follow. US Youth Soccer has provided an incredible place for them to play and we're grateful for it."
