Region I Teams Advance to 2016 US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup

REISTERSTOWN, Md. (May 30, 2016) – US Youth Soccer is proud to announce the 2016 US Youth Soccer Region I (East) Presidents Cup champions, crowned Monday in Reisterstown, Md. The winning teams in the Under-13 through Under-17 Boys and Girls age groups advance to the 2016 US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup, July 14-17 in Tulsa, Okla.

Of the 12 total champions, seven teams are from New Jersey, Virginia and Maryland have two each and one is from Pennsylvania.

The 3-day tournament featured 102 US Youth Soccer teams that had won their respective State Presidents Cup events from 15 US Youth Soccer State Associations - Connecticut, Delaware, Eastern New York, New York West, Eastern Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania West, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia and West Virginia.

The US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup offers teams the challenge of experiencing different types of play by competing from state to regional to national levels. The Presidents Cup provides teams with a progressive, competitive experience that highlights competition, camaraderie and community.
