Region I Teams Advance to 2017 US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup

BARBOURSVILLE, W.Va. (June 19, 2017) – US Youth Soccer is proud to announce the 2017 US Youth Soccer Region I Presidents Cup champions, crowned Monday in Barboursville, W.Va. The winning teams in the 13U through 17/8U Boys and Girls age groups advance to the 2017 US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup, July 12-16 in Auburndale, Fla.

Of the 12 total champions, six teams are from Eastern Pennsylvania, Virginia and New Jersey have two each with Connecticut and New Hampshire each securing one.

The 3-day tournament featured over 100 US Youth Soccer Region I teams that had won their respective State Presidents Cup events from 15 US Youth Soccer State Associations - Connecticut, Delaware, Eastern New York, New York West, Eastern Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania West, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia and West Virginia.

The US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup offers teams the challenge of experiencing different types of play by competing from state to regional to national levels. The Presidents Cup provides teams with a progressive, competitive experience that highlights competition, camaraderie and community.
